What is an Antique?
As defined by Oxford Languages, an antique is “a collectible object such as a piece of furniture or work of art, that has a high value because of its considerable age.”
What’s the Difference Between Antique, Vintage, And Retro?
Although sometimes incorrectly used interchangeably, antique and vintage items are very different. Both are known for being valued for their age but can be differentiated by how old the collectible is. An antique must be at least 100 years old, while a vintage item is at least 20 years old. Anything younger than 20 years old would be considered retro.
